The gradebook houses student and assignment grades.
Access the gradebook from your Section Home page, under the Performance tab. Select Gradebook (A) from the dropdown menu.
When there are assignments to grade, you'll receive notifications at the top of the screen (A).
What can you do within the gradebook?
- Export gradebook data (B)
- Email students from the Actions tab (C)
- Edit gradebook settings and manage graders, among other things, from the Options tab (D).

Score for assignments in smart categories will be automatically entered in the gradebook once scored. If there are no assignments in custom categories, you'll have to manually enter scores there (E).
Remember to Save (F) after making changes.
From the Options tab you can do the following:
-Edit gradebook settings (A), such as assigning category weights, dropping lowest scores, adding custom categories and applying letter grades.
-Move assignments (B) to other locations within the gradebook.
-Add non-Connect assignments (C) to the gradebook so that you can track them and add them to students' total grades.
-Manage graders (D), which includes adding and inviting them to access your gradebook, and giving them editing controls.
To view an individual student's gradebook information, click on the student's name. You'll see all the scores and assignments that make up the student's grade. Note that grades are automatically shown as percentages. If you want to see the grades in points, from the Options menu, select Show grades in points (A).
You can edit any grade by clicking the score box (B) and entering the new grade.
To return to the gradebook main view, click View all students (D) at any time.
