Your Section Home will open any time you click on a section from the courses page. This is where you create, assign, edit and manage assignments; and determine where grading is needed.
All assignments are housed in the assignment list (A). Assignments that have not yet been assigned to students appear highlighted in yellow (B).
Click +Add Assignment (C) to create new assignments.
When you receive messages and/or have assignments that are ready to be graded, you'll receive notifications at the top of the Section Home (D). Click either bar to expand the list.
Your section info contains instructor information. Click the cog wheel (E) to edit instructor name, office hours and email address.
You can see instructors with whom you've shared or copied assignments and sections by clicking View my course colleagues (F).
In order for students to register for your course, you must provide them with the Section web address (G). You can also Upload syllabus (H) from your Section Home.
My course resources (I) will take you to your course component (adaptive learning program).
Your assignment list (A) contains all of your assignments either in the order you create them or in groups you've created.. Assignments that have not yet been assigned to students appear highlighted in yellow. You can choose to group them into categories by clicking the folder icon (B).
In order to take any action for an assignment, check the box next to it (C). You can select multiple assignments this way. What you can do with assignments (D): share or copy them; manage dates for assignments, including student extensions; show/hide them from students; or delete them.
To create an assignment, click Add assignments (E).
If you have new messages or assignments to grade, an envelope icon will appear (F). Click anywhere in the line (F) to expand the list of messages or assignments to grade.
In your section info (G) widget, you'll see your instructor information, the course textbook, which opens to the eBook when clicked, the section web address (H) that students use to register and a place to upload your syllabus. To edit, duplicate, copy, share or delete any information at any time, simply click the gear icon next to the widget title.
My course resources (I) will take you to your course components (adaptive learning program).
Instant Messaging (J) is an alternative to email that allows you to communicate with your students.
